About this Blog

As an aspiring epicure I feel it is time to take my interest beyond cooking and eating. It is time I share what I have learned. I am by no means a culinary expert. I have not been trained in the finer nuances of flavor and presentation. I know what tastes good to me, but I am a far cry from an arbiter of the gourmet. Yet, I do not think I will learn unless I try. To this end, I have decided to begin a blog about a food near and dear to my stomach, which I have eaten all my life, and for which I developed a sophisticated pallet at a young age. The food, of course, is ice cream. Hunting out and trying Mom and Pop ice cream parlors that make their own ice cream has long been a favorite past time, and now, I will share my findings with anyone who wants to read my blog. Of course, I have not sampled the delights at every ice cream place in the area, so I am open to suggestions of little gems I should check out and include. As the whether warms up, now is the perfect time to grab a spoon.
